Hello Everyone,
Another month has come and gone and we continue to make massive strides in our efforts to build North America’s largest traffic control company.
I had the pleasure of witnessing this when I, along with our COO Johanu Botha, visited several of our offices in early July. There is nothing better then seeing, firsthand, all the work you are doing to make our communities safer and ensure our clients’ projects run better and more efficiently.
I want to make particular note of the work of our operational managers. It is a very demanding job, requiring a particular skill and dedication to sit between our field staff and senior management, not to mention our valued clients, to ensure the delivery of our services. I want to personally thank you for all you do. You are the future leaders of this company and we will continue our efforts to build a company where you see yourself for many years to come.

THE RIGHT COMPANY UPDATES
W3E Traffic Control
W3E has made significant progress in California by integrating the GSF into the market.
They are proud to announce they have secured inspector approvals in several of the busiest areas within Sacramento County. In addition, they have received approval for GSF usage from both the Federal Highways Administration and Caltrans, two of the state's major roadway operators.
Congratulations to the outstanding Operations team for their dedicated efforts in bringing GSF technology to cities and counties across California.
A team of 24 skilled crew members managed the safe transport of wind turbines over a 200 km route through Nova Scotia. Using 14 Guardian SmartFlaggers, they are controlling traffic at seven key points.
The six-week project involves multiple crews working six to seven days a week to keep the massive move on schedule and ensure safety throughout the journey.
A huge thank you to our dedicated crews, designers, and managers for their hard work and commitment on the ground.

Spartan Safety Services team is welcoming a new Operations Support Specialist! Sarina has a strong background in logistics dispatching and account management, along with a proven track record of keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently. Her expertise and attention to detail make her a valuable addition as we continue to grow and strengthen our team.
We are confident that Sarina’s skills and experience will contribute greatly to the day-to-day operations, and we look forward to the positive impact she will have across the board.
Wright
An exciting milestone at Wright Traffic! Irene Garcia and Ryan Gaul are celebrating a remarkable achievement. 200 successful deployments of the Guardian SmartFlagger! This is no small feat and speaks volumes about their dedication to safety and excellence in the field.
Each time Irene and Ryan deploy the GSF, they help keep flaggers out of direct traffic, significantly reducing the risk of work-zone injuries and fatalities. Their commitment is making a real impact on roadway safety, one deployment at a time.
Directional Traffic
Directional Traffic played a key role in bringing Sidewalk Days, a beloved summer tradition in Greencastle, back to its roots.
After the 2024 event was relocated to side streets due to the difficulty of closing Baltimore Street, the town’s main thoroughfare, Directional Traffic worked for months, alongside the Department of Transportation, to secure permits and coordinate detours. Their efforts made it possible to safely close Baltimore Street and return the event to its original location.
Micheal Beall and Chloe Robinson led the detour setup, while McCay Seipler, Ricky Faust, Jeffery McWilliams, and Frankie Jordor managed on-site traffic both days using the GSF base station to reroute vehicles safely and efficiently.
“It took a great deal of collaboration and persistence to make sure the road closure could happen, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who helped us accomplish that,” said Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Kylie Belle Thomas.
Great community involvement Directional! We love to see it.
Southwest Safety
Southwest Safety assisted the City of Albuquerque with Route 66 Summerfest, a free event featuring live concerts across three stages, food trucks, classic cars, and more. A total of 21 drivers and crew members were involved in supporting the event. Southwest Safety managed the closure of over a mile-long stretch of road from midnight on Friday, July 18, through 3 a.m. on Sunday, July 21st.
P.D. Brooks
P.D. Brooks is making big strides in Virginia. Over the past four months, the full-time workforce has grown by an impressive 89%, and they’re just getting started. A key driver of this growth has been the support from Right Traffic, which recently supplied 20 new trucks to help replace aging vehicles and expand their fleet. Thanks to this investment in the future, they've already added 13 new crews, with another 12 trucks delivered just this week to fuel continued expansion across the region.
The future is bright, and P.D. Brooks is only getting stronger!
ALPHA SPACE
Alpha continues to help keep people between the lines! Executing thermoplastic road painting and reflective pavement marker contracts, their custom-built trucks are fully equipped to provide long-line highway painting, parking lot striping, short line, sealcoating, and symbols & legends.
WTC
In June, WTC Philadelphia was proud to receive the prestigious Local Labourers 57 Foley Award. Presented annually by Local 57, an affiliate of the Labourers' International Union of North America, this award honours outstanding contractors who have made significant contributions to the success of Local 57. We’re proud of the team whose hard work and dedication helped make this recognition possible.

Name: Candida (Dee) Archer

Each month, we take a moment to highlight a team member who goes above and beyond. These individuals exemplify the values, dedication, and spirit that make our company stronger. This month, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Candida “Dee” Archer.
Candida Archer (Dee) – Operations Manager, South Bend, Indiana | Wright Traffic Control
Originally from Owensboro, Kentucky, Dee Archer is the Operations Manager at Wright Traffic Control’s South Bend office. Before entering the traffic control industry, Dee worked as a bank courier for U.S. Bank, driving an incredible 430 miles a day, five days a week, for 11 years. In 2019, she relocated to Indiana and accepted a position as a flagger with WD Wright. Her strong work ethic and determination quickly stood out, and just six months later, she was promoted to Field Supervisor.
In August 2020, shortly after her first promotion, Dee joined Wright Traffic Control as one of the company’s first two flaggers. Within another six months, she earned a promotion to Field Supervisor. Just three months into that role, she was promoted again, this time to Team Leader. Nine months later, Dee stepped into her current position as Operations Manager. Impressive!
Throughout her time with WTC, Dee has played a key role in launching several new offices, including those in Indianapolis, South Bend, Evansville, and West Virginia. Passionate about the safety of both employees and clients, she views traffic control as more than a job. It’s an art form.
Outside of work, Dee enjoys bow hunting and fishing with her husband. She’ll be celebrating two years breast cancer-free on August 8, 2025, and is currently training for a three-day, 60-mile walk to raise awareness for breast cancer. An event her daughter will be joining her for. Dee deeply values time spent with her family and grandchildren, especially cheering on her oldest grandson at baseball games.
We are incredibly grateful to have Candida “Dee” Archer on our team. Her exceptional work ethic, leadership, and dedication have been instrumental in our growth and success. Dee sets the standard for what it means to lead with passion and purpose, and we’re proud to have her at the forefront! Can’t wait to see where the next journey takes her!

Meet Steven Colley, who has moved from his role as Network System Supervisor at WTC to become our new Special Project Coordinator in the Special Projects Department. He’s excited to work with new team members, build strong relationships, and take on fresh challenges as he continues to grow both personally and professionally. Not just one for ensuring all our systems run dependably and efficiently, Steven enjoys exploring the latest trends and tech innovations in his spare time.

Aditya Krishna brings his experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Mercedes-Benz into his new role as a Cyber Security Specialist within the IT department. Passionate about solving complex challenges, he's excited to help protect Right Traffic’s digital landscape and support its continued growth. His focus is on building secure, trusted systems and fostering a culture of security awareness across teams. Outside of work, Aditya enjoys playing basketball, following the NBA, and is a passionate foodie who loves exploring local and traditional dishes from cultures around the world.

Dana Loch, Regional Sales Manager, and Chris Bowman, Regional Operations Manager. Partners in success since November 2024.
Chris collaborates with leadership teams to identify the most sustainable ways to grow the business, while Dana works her sales magic by engaging with customers and prospects, addressing unique challenges with tailored solutions. Together, they’ve built a strong partnership rooted in communication, mutual understanding, and a shared commitment to customer satisfaction.
They’ve developed a consistent process that supports each other’s goals while recognizing and respecting their different roles and approaches. This balance allows them to face unexpected challenges.
Chris and Dana have seen their share of tough situations, from last-minute demands to large-scale customer requests. But with Chris’s transparent, solution-oriented communication, and Dana’s adaptability, together they’ve built trust with customers and each other. Dana credits Chris’s dedication to growing his operations teams as a major factor in her own success in sales.
Their teamwork enables them to achieve what might seem impossible. A great example: if the Directional team might be short on technicians, they coordinate with WDW to share equipment and resources, ensuring no team is left behind. Chris also played a key role in aligning the WDW, Alpha, and Directional teams to complete a critical line crossing in Salisbury, PA showing how collaboration across regions and departments can drive real results!
This is exactly the kind of teamwork we love to see. Collaborative, proactive, and impactful. Keep it up, you’re doing incredible work!
SAFETY, THE RIGHT WAY
National Traffic Awareness Month occurs every August and serves as a nationwide reminder of the importance of road safety. For those of us in the traffic control industry, it’s a crucial time to spotlight the work we do every day to keep roadways safe, efficient, and operational.
Work zone safety is critical and with thousands of road construction and utility projects happening across North America, traffic control professionals are at the front line of protecting workers, drivers, and pedestrians.
Proper setup saves lives. From signage and Guardian SmartFlaggers, to flagging and lane closures, the correct deployment of traffic control measures directly reduces accidents and injuries. Traffic control professionals play a vital role in preventing accidents and saving lives.
Over the past five years, work zones across North America have seen thousands of preventable injuries and fatalities. In the U.S. alone, over 4,300 lives have been lost in work zone crashes, and more than 200,000 injuries were reported. In Canada, transportation-related incidents remain one of the leading causes of workplace deaths. These numbers highlight the critical need for ongoing innovation, awareness and training in traffic control.
As we recognize National Traffic Awareness Month, it's a powerful reminder of the essential role traffic control professionals play in keeping roads safe for workers, drivers, and pedestrians alike. Let’s keep safety front and center and keep everyone moving forward, safely.

To that, Shared Services is excited to share that Jessica Swiger, Director of Training, has successfully earned her Change Practitioner Certification through PROSCI.
